Cyber Bathrooms: 5 New Technologies to Blow your Mind

Technology has improved every aspect of our lives, making day-to-day tasks easier and houses more comfortable. But not every room gets equal chances in this contemporary race for edgy design. Take the bathroom, for example. This space is often times forgotten, kitchen taking precedence when it comes to renovations. But there are so many ways in which you can transform it with the help of gadgets. Let’s find out more.

Chromotherapy

Chromotherapy refers to the use of LED lights for relieving tension, stress, and depression. Simply being exposed to these soothing lights has been proven to have a positive effect on one’s mood and it’s a great way to start or end a busy day. It’s only natural that we start using them in bathrooms, too.

Showers are the best place to use LED lights and chromotherapy as they are a sanctuary for relaxation. Installing these type of lights here will heighten your experience.

Faucets

Faucets don’t seem like they could get any more (or less) high-tech than they already are. It’s a pretty straightforward technology, but it’s also where the most of the water is being wasted. As the demand for eco-friendly homes is getting bigger and bigger, faucets are constantly being transformed and upgraded in order to meet the new tech standards. One good example are the type that change pressure in a matter of seconds.

Sensor-activated faucets are also getting popular and easier to install. They are water efficient, faster, and easier to handle.

Smart toilets

Toilets are also getting a high-tech makeover and thus becoming more comfortable and easy to use. One of the most useful changes is probably the height adjustment that’s now available at a push of a button.

Buying a high-tech bidet  is also a valuable addition to the bathroom since you can control it remotely and adjust its height and water pressure to your liking. It also saves both space and water usage.

Warming drawers

Bathrooms are notoriously hard to warm up. They are either cold or you need to waste too much energy and money to keep them toasty at all times. However, there are ways to increase your comfort without having to break the bank on bathroom heating.

Warming drawers will make your towels and clothes warm just enough that you can easily slip into them after having a bath or a shower. The drawers look like any other bathroom furniture piece and they can easily fit in any bathroom regardless of its style and aesthetic.

A mopping robot

Cleaning the bathroom is usually very tiresome and it needs to be done a couple of times a day if you want to keep the space fresh and dry. Why not delegate this job to a robot? You’ll get more free time and a spotless restroom in one, swift move. Not to mention that these gizmos (most of them, anyway) can be programmed to clean at specific times of the day or when no one is around. Also, they can reach parts of your bathroom that you never could with an ordinary mop. The only thing you will need to do is to change the batteries every now and then.

Smart technologies are changing the bathroom’s appearance and functions together with the rest of the home design improvements. They are also making daily chores easier and more eco-friendly.
